How can I get a whiter smile?

There are two ways that your dentist can effectively help you to whiten your smile. The first option is an in-office treatment. This method of teeth whitening uses a dental bleach and a source of heat or light to activate the bleach. Patients typically see results within an hour of an in-office treatment. The second option is an at-home kit. This kit comes with a tray that is custom-fitted to your teeth. Within the tray is a dental bleaching gel, which is provided by your dentist. The tray is to be worn for a certain length of time each day. It’s important that tooth whitening is always done under a dentist’s supervision. We can rule out any underlying causes for the discolouration of your teeth and we can help you choose the whitening option that will best achieve your desired results.
